Hotel Jijihyang

I went to the hotel for check-in. It's in publication land, one of the best tourist spots in Paju. Motels in Paju are really good that's why it's a bit hard to find somewhere to stay aside from Motel. It was a sudden trip for me so I had only few choices for lodging.

Jijihyang means the province of paper.

It looks like guest house or residence rather than hotel. Let's look around here.

The lobby is spacious, but simply.

Since it's located in Publication Land, there are lots of books and you can read them.

Now, let's look at the room.

It's simple. Everything is hardwood furniture and interior design.

But there is one thing missing. Do you know what it is?

Right. There is no TV here. They said they intentionally didn't put TV.

Is it because it's in Publication Land? There are books instead. We were not able to read books because of our tight schedules, but it was kinda boring. Are we too addicted to watching TV?

Paju's Provence 파주 프로방스 마을

After check-in, we continued to follow our plans.

It's Paju's Provence which similarly made like France's Provence.

There is a basic guide map as seen below. But this place is not too big so you can just go around. There are mainly shopping center and restaurants, but colorful and beautiful buildings are very romantic. It's also known as one of the best spots for dating.

I felt like I was in a small village in the Mediterranean. Many people take pictures and photographers visit here often.

Lights and interior decorations are pretty.

There are not many things to shop, but it's fun to look at them.

It's herb garden. It was too dark at night.

It's a restroom! Even restrooms were well designed and pretty.

There is a café where you can take a look at your tarot cards and saju(fortune telling).

There are restaurants aside from shops. Mainly, the menus are Italian and Western dishes.

The store you must go here in Provence is Provence bakery. It's famous for its garlic bread. Unlike other bakeries, they make garlic bread in round pastry bread, not in baguette. It's very delicious.

The interior decorations are real breads. They do not get rotten for months even though there is no preservative at all. What a surprise…

Since it was too late, most breads were sold out.

Europe-style Provence is a pretty village which I think women will like more. It's a certainly good place for dating so go here with your lover or family to have some good memories.

My first day in Paju was done after visiting Provence.
