Held for the first time in 1989, the Chuncheon Puppet Festival is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year. Over 70 international and Korean troupes and 800 professional artists will be taking part in this eight-day celebration, offering a variety of masterful performances. The festival takes place in early to mid August every year, drawing many visitors to Chuncheon Puppet Theater. Aside from the puppet performances, there will also be plenty of side events to entertain children and adults alike.
