Omegi restaurant (Iljudongro 8231, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do)
It is located close to Soesokkak Estuary where a lot of tourists visit. So its business is prosperous even though it doesn't have special menu. Whether you order single dish or set menu, many side dishes like fried egg, stir-fried spicy pork, salted and fermented squid, sweet pumpkin boiled in soy sauce and rice with fish roe are served. I ordered set menu for three people, which consisted of abalone stew in a hot pot, grilled sea bream and braised cutlassfish. They were all tasteful. Cutlassfish was small, but it was price-reasonable given that prices of Jeju is quite high. A tile fish was big and its flesh was light. But it was not toasted to a beautiful brown. A lot of seafood like rab, clam and abalone were put in abalone stew in a hot pot. The rice was abominable. It was so rough and lusterless. But I was satisfied with omegi rice cake, which is one of Jeju's well-known local products, served for dessert.

Deep-fried squid and fried potato that I enjoyed at outdoor pool in Hyatt Hotel:
I thought the price of them would out of all knowledge as they were sold at hotel pool bar. But it was almost the same with that of village pub in Seoul. Deep-fried squid was not fishy and greasy. It was ideal appetizer to have with cocktail or beer.

This is Folk Village run by Hyatt Hotel. I was so surprised that the price was reasonable. I regretted that I had a meal at the restaurants outside the hotel.
