There is a distinctive village in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do. It is called “Mediterranean village”(blue crystal village), and it became a word-of-mouth tourist spot. It is a part of Samsung display city. Local people left their home town after industrial complex was built in Asan, and they made this village. The village is full of beautiful European style buildings. It is easily accessible with public transportation. You can go there by KTX, Nooriro, subway line No. 1 and bus. Also, you can go there by car. It is the best place to take a walk and enjoy delicious food.

I went to the high building as I wondered about the view of the village. Fortunately, I met the person who live on the fifth floor so I could easily go to the highest spot. I could oversee the whole scenery of the village on the top. It was like a beautiful painting.

Mediterranean village is located between Samsung trapalace and the huge road. Low European buildings stand out right in front of high apartment. The buildings in the village are separated into three sections: Temple of Parthenon, Santorini and Provence. The village consists of 66 buildings. Cafe, restaurant and handicraft workshop are on the first floor, the place for artists on the second and the third floor and residence for local people on the third floor.

It is easy to look around Mediterranean village since it was constructed systematically. While you walk the straight road, you would feel it is so exotic. Petite France of Gapyeong and Provence of Paju are almost the same with Mediterranean village. But locals of Mediterranean village run their business on their own.

Santorini style buildings would be the most popular tourist spot among three village sections. Alley is so friendly. It is fun to take a picture while looking around preety things like red mailbox and the wing of angels.

This is Santorini style alley. It is totally white world with white buildings and white snow. Walking on the snowy street is pleasant. The buildings with different style are so charming.

These are Temple of Parthenon style buildings. Two pillars are supporting the building. I can't believe that it is Korea. Lightings are set up everywhere. I think it looks beautiful at night.

The end of the alley consists of Provence style buildings. The buildings were built to accommodate people, so I could feel vivid atmosphere. It is the best place to look around taking a camera. You should enjoy delicious food in the restaurants on the first floor. I strongly recommend it.
