I stayed Suanbo park hotel during Chungju travel. If you hear Suanbo, you would remind “hot spring” at first. As I returned the hotel in late evening, I couldn't enjoy hot spring. But I was able to get vicarious satisfaction since there was bathtub in the shower room, too, and I could enjoy hot spring. The hotel is ten minutes distance from Chungju downtown, and costs under 100,000 won including room, hot spring and breakfast. The food is also fine. Now, here we go!

The place was crowded with a lot of people and cars, as August 1th is the most peak season.
It would cost less during off-season.

There were both bedroom and ondolbang. I stayed in ondolbang, and it was quite comfortable. If you spread out about three bedding, it will become more comfortable like bedroom. The room had three bedding and four pillows, which is suitable for four people.

Suanbo park hotel has a very long history. The facilities were old, but cleaned. It was comfortable. I felt like I stayed in my home town house. The frames on the wall were old, and a stationary chest looked like that of home town house. I recalled my mother who applies cosmetics on her wrinkled face sitting on the dressing table.

Even though I came alone, four people can conveniently stay here. All of bedding and pillows were clean.
There were beverages and water in a refrigerator, but you can only drink two bottles of water for free. Washing tool were available for charge. But there were only shampoo, body wash and soap. You should bring toothbrush and toothpaste by yourself.
Although room was old, it was not inconvenient as it had been cleaned. Bidet and bathtub were installed. After soaking your legs in water at night, your fatigue will be relieved. This water is spring water of Suanbo. It is drawn up from 250 meters underground, and its temperature is over 53 degrees. If you take a shower with it, you will realize that it is different from average water. Cold water is allowed to drink.

Since I had used a bed for a long time, I spread out thick blankets. It was not so different from the bed. I couldn't take a well sleep because of worries. But I slept well after bathing with spring water at night. I didn't even have a dream, so I felt refreshed with a good sleep.

After opening the box given by Lotte Cloud beer factory, I could find a bottle of beer and a little cute cup. I wanted to drink a beer sometimes. What a wonderful present it is! You must visit the beer factory during Chungju travel. :-)
After a good sleep, I had a breakfast. Even though it was reasonably priced, a lot of food were served. There were not high rank food, though. But I enjoyed the breakfast! I usually eat a piece of sandwich for a breakfast, but I cleaned up every dishes that day!

Every dishes and cups were made in Korea, because Suanbo park hotel is owned by Hankook chinaware. You may know that all products of Hankook chinaware are expensive. Tableware set costs over hundreds of thousands won. Food looked expensive as the dishes were high quality. :-)

I planned to have some coffee and food for breakfast. I felt happy with a cup of Americano.

I decided to have one dish, but I had a huge appetite that day at 8AM. I had a lot of bread and orange juice, and then left for destination.

Outside of breakfast restaurant, you can find product exhibition of Hankook chinaware. It sold some products, so you'd better look around. Men are not concerned about this place, but it would be an essential course for women. :-)

China potteries presented for Korean presidents were displayed. I was so curious. I could see their everyday life. This dish set was used by former president Park Chung-hee.

Every Korean presidents seemed to use Hankook Chinaware. These sets were used by former president Lee Myung-bak and Roh Moo-hyun. Dishes used by president Park Geun-hye would be displayed after her term in office.

I wondered about a dish and cup with jewelry. This is Queen's diamond jubilee collection. This premium bone china commemorates diamond jubilee for Queen Elizabeth in 2012. These can be displayed in shelves of living room. They are so beautiful.

What about take a walk on trail near the hotel after a meal? It takes 15 minutes to look around. When you walk down the road for five minutes, you will find “Seongbong chapel”, a house of worship. It is always opened, so it is good to take a walk and pray.
In my opinion, Suanbo park hotel was better than any other fabulous hotels. The facilities are somewhat outdated, but it is affectionate. Cleaned sink in old bathroom, old creaking dressing table. I loved this hotel.
