“Boryeong Mud Festival”, the event for everyone all around the world
Spain has tomato festival, and Brazil has Rio carnival. Then Korea has Boyeong mud festival. This year welcomes 18th anniversary. Boyeong mud festival is awarded “Global Luxury Award 2015”, which is the only one among the national festivals. It was hold for ten days from 17th to 26th of July at mud plaza in front of Daecheon seaside resort. It is the world's best festival, visited by 329 millions of people including 28 million foreigners last year.
If you plan to take a trip in summer vacation with your lover, you must visit here. Boryeong has many tourist attractions like Daecheon seaside resort, Muchangpo beach and Seongjusan Natural recreation forest, and other valleys and islands. It is the best city to have fun. In particular, I recommend Boyeong mud festival to young people, since they can enjoy mud plays with foreigners.

I visited 17thof July, the first day of festival. Fine mud flat and sand unfolded along with the sea line with 136 kilometers. The mud used for mud festival has been brought from Boryeong beach. The particle is so fine that it protects your skin from sun instead of sun block, and makes your skin smooth. Here we go!

There is a specially prepared stage in the beach of Daecheon seaside resort, and many performances have been hold. Quite expensive presents like camera are given through various games. Many Koreans and foreigners participate in the games. It is so popular. Limbo is also played, and the winner passed through 70 centimeters line!

The festival is started with the heat of a specially prepared stage, and people gather to the place. Foreigners are a lot more than Koreans since it is the first day of the festival. Foreign tourists consist of Asians and Caucasians. It is a world festival.

Mud slide or large mud bath is charged. Many facilities are set up in order to enjoy the mud festival in outside. Many people join the party, covering their body with mud. I did not apply it on my own, but many foreigners put their hand print on my body. Haha.

Some people draw color mud paintings for free. They mix watercolors with mud. It is so popular with foreigners. You can enjoy it in various places. You can display your art capability if you want. Admission fee is free.
