Jungnogwon Bamboo Garden is the representative tourist attraction of damyang. There is a long noodle street right in front of Jungnogwon Bamboo Garden. Noodle is simple, but it is special if you have it in front of beautiful Jungnogwon Bamboo Garden. I visited to eat noodle, too. An old couple recommended “Ttukbang noodles” when I asked delicious restaurant. So I should go there.

Noodle street of damyang is located at right side of hyangyogyo bridge in front of Jungnogwon Bamboo Garden. You don't need to drive your car since it is very close. Interestingly, you can have a meal on a low wooden bench near the road. But I don't want to eat here as it is so close to the road.

Many tourists usually visit “Old Jinmi Noodles” in the street. It became popular after it was broadcasted in TV program, “Baek Jong-won's three emperors”. But I am going to visit “Ttukbang noodles”, must-go restaurant recommended by a local citizen.

But “Ttukbang noodles” is quite far from noodle street on foot. When I want to give up, I finally saw the restaurant. If you want to visit here, you'd better drive your own car. It takes about 20 minutes on foot.

Although “Ttukbang noodles” is far from noodle street, it is popular with many people. So it has been moved to large store, recently. The name of the store was originally “Ttukbbang noodles”, but it has been changed to “Ttukbang noodles”. Don't misunderstand that it is the wrong noodle restaurant. The front side of the store is made of plastic to prevent dust. So you can have a meal on a low wooden bench there.

Let's see the menu. The menu is just soup noodle, bibim noodle and boiled egg. The menu of other restaurants in noodle street is almost the same with this. Interestingly, there are stir-fry chicken chicken foot and Rolled Omelet in the menu. Anyways, I ordered anchovy soup noodle, young radish bibim noodle and bamboo leaf boiled egg. I ordered a lot, but it was not expensive.

I was served with boiled egg at first. So I could stimulate my appetite before having noodles. You should order it for your lover! It only costs 1,000 won.

Here is bamboo leaf boiled egg. It is softer than the eggs sold at jjimjilbang(Korean dry sauna), but more chewy than average boiled eggs. It is fragrant and delicious, but it is even more delicious when you eat it with noodles.

Anchovy soup noodle, young radish bibim noodle have been served with seasoned bean sprouts, seasoned pickled radish and laver powder. Seasoned bean sprouts, seasoned pickled radish are even more delicious if you have them with young radish bibim noodle.

The combination of anchovy soup noodle and laver powder was amazing. The amount of noodles were so huge.

The soup is made of anchovy, but it is not fishy but clean.

The noodle is thicker than average noodles that we eat usually. It is chewy and smooth. I like it.

This is “young radish bibim noodle”. The sauce is a little bit spicy, so noodle is served with anchovy soup.

The amount of young radish bibim noodle is huge as much as anchovy soup noodle. It is sour, sweet and spicy. It is common and simple bibim noodle, but sauce is really nice. Not so spicy. Not so sour. Not so sweet. It makes me eat more and more. The taste is almost the same with jjolmyeon(Spicy Cold Chewy Noodles).

Young radish bibim noodle is much delicious if you eat it with seasoned pickled radish, seasoned bean sprouts and laver powder. The taste of “Ttukbang noodles” is not so different from common noodles that we ususally eat. The taste of common noodles comes from mother's skill. I like the soup of anchovy soup noodle and the sauce of young radish bibim noodle. You can eat noodles a lot with your friend just at 10,000 won on a low wooden bench. I strongly recommend it.
