“Gaewha Art Park”, the world's largest Sculpture Park
I have just found a great place in Boryung. It is Gaewha Art Park, which is a large park-exhibition center, located in the back of beyond Boryung area. Children can experience a lot of events, and you can eat delicious foods. You can also enjoy camping, and Korean dry sauna. Even though it is privately owned, it is full of variety. It is not famous, though. It's large enough to look around everything.

As it is named, Gaewha Art Park is a large park, based on works of art. A mountain surrounds a park and large green field is full of grass. A lotus is planted in a beautiful pond, and a botanical garden has a various range of plants. There are many animals in the field, like sheep, deer, donkey,
ostrich, dog, goose and mallard. All of them are mild tempered, not scaring a human being. It is a place where you can enjoy the beautiful nature as it is.

I can feel something different from the bridge to a ticket office. The scale of Gaewha Art Park is 55,000 pyeong, and over 1,500 outdoor sculptures are exhibited. International Sculpture symposium is hold annually, and it is the largest in the world. You can keep your composure while
strolling and looking around.

I will visit Mosan art museum at first. It permanently displays about 200 art works of renowned artists every month.

At the entrance, a loose sheep is ruminating something. It is really mild tempered, and it does not bung off.

The lobby of Mosan art museum is decorated with charming and pretty goods. The art works are in sale, and it is good to look around while having a cup of coffee at the cafe on the first floor. Now, I will enter the gallery.

An art work called “the trace of cutting” by Sin se-cheol is now displayed on the right side on the first floor. An artist is changed every month. It is prohibited to take a photo of detailed part of art works, so I can show you the overall shape of them. A large frame consists of graver. Your mouth may just dropped.

Art works of around the world are being displayed on the left side of the first floor and the second floor. Russia, Belgium, etc. There were dozens of artworks over the world. You may find the style of each art work. I personally loved the one from Uzbekistan.

A donkey and a horse are loose on the grass. They like to get along with people as they are tamed. Children really love them.

There is a lotus trail in the middle of the park. A fountain are spouting, so it is very cool. Now that lotus is in blossom, the pond is more vivid. When a person passes by, a frog jumps from
a lotus leaf to the pond.

In the left side of the end of Gaewha Art Park, there is a huge botanical garden called “Gaewha Herbland”. There are some plants with various flowers and fruits, and fishes nearby a road. Since there are a lot of insects, it can be used as a natural education site for children. While walking through the observation trail, you can find a perfume shop, flower shop, coffee shop, bakery and even restaurant.

There are a lot of rare foliage plants, and some plants emitting unusual scent. While you follow a
narrow and winding road, you can take a look around every place and go out.

There is a number of fishes in a small stream by the wayside. You can buy food for fish for 1,000 won. There is no seller, so you should pay the money by yourself. If you give the fishes food, they
gather like an arrow.

Looking around beautiful flowers, I enjoy fresh nature. If you like flowers, it would be a sweet moment. Children like them, too.

If you walk up a narrow path, you can find a cave. It is called as the cave for taking ice wind shower. It is chilling because there is no light anywhere. I am even more scared because I am alone.

But I must enter the cave to show the scenery to you. While it exceeds 30 degrees outside, it is really chill inside. I will take a rest on the long bench for a moment. It's really ice wind shower!
It seems that the cave was dug by people, but I wonder why it was made. The cave might be dug during war times, or for preserving crops. As I go further by using the light of smart phone, dark cave continues. I can't keep on!

There is an ice cream shop with cute insect shape. It is so various. It is too huge for children to
walk around, but you can use your car inside.
If you want to see a lot of art works and look around a beautiful garden, you should visit Gaewha Art Park. It is privately owned, so admission fee is quite expensive. But worth the money.
