When I visited Magoksa temple in Gongju lately, I heard that King Sejo wrote the signboard of Yeongsanjeon hall. At that time, I wanted to visit King Danjong who was taken sovereign power by King Sejo, and died in 17 years old.

It is the tomb of King Danjong, the sixth King of the Joseon dynasty. It was registered No. 196 historical site on May 26, 1970. King Danjong was taken sovereign power by King Sejo, and died in Yeongwol. After his dead body was left in Donggang, Eomheungdo took the body.
The location of the tomb had been unknown for a long time, but Park Chung-won found the tomb in 1541. He established Sangsuck, Pyosuck, lantern and a pair of stone posts in front of a tomb in 1580. King Danjong was named Nosandaegun in 1681, and restored his real name on November in 1698. His Neungho became “Jangreung”.
Neither Byeongpungseok nor Nanganseok has been built in Jangreung. Stone figures are also simple. There is Sangsuck in front of burial mound, and a pair of stone posts are standing on both side of Sangsuck. There are square lantern, a pair of Mooninsuck and stone horse. But Muinseok has not been found.
Under the tomb, there are Baesickdansa, Jeongryebi, Nakchongijeokbi, Jeongjagak, Hongsalmoon, Jaesil and a pavilion. These are all related with the death of King Danjong. (Data resource: encyclopedia of knowledge)
Even though it is a Royal Tomb, it is located in the top of a mountain. Neither warrior nor civil magistrate does not exist. Neither folding screen nor Nanganseok has not been found. Stone shapes are so simple. There is Mooninsuck, but not Mooinsuck. King Danjong might have been lonely.

There are two ways to go Seoul from Yeongwol; using Jungang Expressway or Jungbu Naeryuk Expressway. According to my friend in Taebaek, it would be better use Jungbu Naeryuk Expressway since Jungang Expressway is often congested. I visited trout sushi restaurant as I cannot neglect Jecheon.
It costs 22,000 won per one kilogram. Man would be full after eating one kilograms of trout and fish stew. But I ordered sushi for 1.5 people(33,000 won) and fish stew for 2 people(6,000 won). Me and my company ate away all foods except two slices of sushi. I was so tired because I couldn't take a sleep and walked for a long time. But I felt great after having a meal!
