Twin Tombs are a chamber tomb in the late Baekje period. It is known that it was the tomb for Baekje's 30th King Mu and his queen Princess Seonhwa of Silla. It is No. 87 historical site and the administrative district is Iri-si Seogwang-dong. It has been called “Ssangreung” as it has two burial mounds. The bigger one is Daewang-myo and the smaller one is Sowang-myo.

There is a signboard “Ssangreung” on the right side of Geumma intersection. And there is Daewang-myo on the left side after driving unpaved road for about 800 meters. The stone mason, lantern and Moonmu sinseok have been newly established. Quite large parking lot is located nearby. You can find Sowang-myo in the narrow path next to Daewang-myo.

Daewang-myo has 30 meters of diameter and 5 meters of height. And Sowang-myo has 24 meters of diameter and 3.5 meters of height. They are all flagstone room. Neolbang room is rectangle and the wall is granite. There used to be bier in the middle of Neolbang room and wooden coffin on it. Two graves were all robbed before the investigation and excavation. But earthenware and wooden coffins were kept and housed in Jeonju National Museum. It is assumed that they were established in the late Baekje dynasty period. Since Mireuksa Temple was built in King Mu's period, it is highly possible that they are tombs of King Mu and his queen. There are a lot of remains of King Mu such as Maryongji, Ogeum mountain fortree and Mireuksa site. [Naver encyclopedia] Iksan Ssangreung

Guide signs are standing at the entrance of the tomb.
