Suyanggae Relic Museum 수양개선사유물전시관

After the cruise, I went to Suyanggae Relic Museum.

Back in my high school, when we thought of Danyang, the prehistoric remains of Suyanggae was the first thing that popped up in our mind.

Between Danyang downtown and Suyanggae museum, there is a surprising place. This is the fastest way to go to the museum and all people who visit Danyang certainly go here also.

That is the tunnel. This was a railroad back then, but they made it as a road for cars nowadays. Only this tunnel has a stop light in Korea. Normally it's a red light, but when you put your car on that red painted area on the road, its light changes into green. Only one car can pass by the tunnel so the cars pass by once at a time.

After passing by two tunnels, you will pass by this moss tunnel with lots of love messages. At each side of this tunnel, it has 200m of concrete wall. Moss grows even during winter here. That's why people write something like "I love you" or "Peter♡Jessica" on the moss and it became famous as a scenic spot of love.

You can see this clean building after the moss tunnel. This is Suyanggae Relic Museum.

There were only around 4-5 tourists in this museum, but they offered us to watch a video so we went to an auditorium to cool off a bit from the sunny day.

After watching the video, there was like a skeleton of mammoth in the main hall.

There was an exhibit of people's skull based on history of human. I doubt they are real...

They also had a collection of stone tools in three exhibits. They were well arranged and organized.

At the back of the gallery, they had various statues. The real remains were found under this mountain and near Namhan river.

This place is one of the few places that has historic site of Upper Palaeolithic in Korea. There are a pocket knife first found in Korea, chopping-tool, and other various remains and tools were found. If you have a child, it would good for their education and for their experience.

I was about to leave, but I saw this poster saying 'Danyang Stemp Tour' on the door. I urgently inquired to the information desk.

They gave me this booklet. You go around tourist spots and you put a stamp on the booklet and when you go to the travel bureau, they will give you a small souvenir. What if I went to several places before I get this? If you have tickets or receipts of that tourist spot, it is still possible to get a stamp.

The stamp looks like this and you will put it in each tourist spot on the booklet. I got one stamp!

I felt like I had to collect all stamps in every tourist spot. But.... whatever. I went to the next destination.

Jangdari Restaurant 장다리식당

I was hungry after touring Suyanggae museum. Maybe noodles were not enough for me. So I decided to eat garlic food which is Danyang's agricultural product. This restaurant is famous in Danyang.

It was an early dinner time so there were not too many people aside from a group of customers.

In the first page of menu, they put work experiences they had. Following the second page, they have only garlic menus. Many people were saying "Ondal" and it looked like the best seller of this restaurant so I ordered "Ondal garlic meal."

While waiting, I was looking at trophies, certificates, and letter of appreciation around the restaurant. And I found our former president's name! Wow...

The side dishes were put on the table after a long while. More than half of these dishes had garlic in them. Colors were beautiful.

This dish looked like they mixed garlic and mustard sauce. There was no garlic smell.

This dish was seasoned with baked garlic, crab stick, and mayonnaise. A lot of people asked more for this.

It had a smell of chili. Maybe it's a chili dressing. The taste was a bit new and fresh.

This is a common dish, garlic jangajji. The seasoning was really strong.

I was not able to ask what it was. But it was really sweet.

It's meat for bossam. It was the most delicious one for me. Is it because it was meat? Haha.

This was last one to deliver which is garlic rice. Garlic and pumpkin were put also. I transferred the rice before it gets cold and put water into the bowl to make nurungji.

I do not really wrap like this, but I wanted to try with garlic. It was delicious.

Our dessert was potato rice cake! The foods were generally delicious. However, it was boring to wait for the food to be served and the service was not really good.
