Mungyeong Daeyasan SeonyuDoungcheonNadeulgil Trekking Course No.2 'Yongchu Valley' 용추계곡

Continuing from the trekking course No.1 that I introduced, I am going to introduce you to SeonyuDongcheonNadeulgil which is also one of the impressive trekking courses that I've ever been.

It has view of the beautiful shape of mountain and valley, and the trekking course is divided into two No.1 and No.2 courses. Two of them is in the same range of one valley so you could take a look around them at once. Now, I'm going to show you the second course also known as Yongchu Valley.

For those who haven't checked the course No.1, the whole course is 8.4km long including Ungang Lee Gang Nyeon Memorial Hall (departure) → Chilwudae → Baekseoktan → Hakcheonjeon (by far it's course No.1) → Yongchu → Wolryeongdae (by far it's course No.2).

However, to make a round-trip between Yongchu and Wolryeongdae, the whole distance would be about 12.8km. So I'm going to Yongchu today from Hakcheonjeong.

Departure address of trekking course No.2: 405-2, Wanjang-ri, Gaeun-eup, Mungyeong-si, Gyeongbuk-do

I've never seen a valley that looks like this in entire life.

Wherever I go in SeonyuDongcheonNadeulgil, the river bed rarely has stones but the big rock itself is a river bed. It was unique and beautiful.

The water flows not so fast so it looks like the best place to swim for children and family.

The trekking course No.1 that I showed you before was good but for families, course No.2 seems the best place.

The photo above shows you why the water bed is all rocks. Daeya Mountain consists of big rocks that are attached side by side mostly.

You can say that those big rocks are laid under the water. Isn't it something?

I could imagine parents eating watermelons with relief watching their kid swimming with a swimming tube.

It was a very nice valley that you could invite your girlfriend to show you the view, say a cheesy comment like “this is all for you!" and you would be appreciated anyway.

There are tables(decks) here and there. You should pay to use the table in summer but free in any other seasons.

Wow~the water is flowing between flat rocks and there is a quite deep and wide puddle down there.

It is not forbidden to go inside so I would want to play in water with a swimming tube and life jacket in summer. This is a really good valley that makes me want to visit again.

I'll go up a little more along the valley. Trekking course looks properly made next to the edge of the river.

Like this. Some courses are covered with wooden decks and some are covered with dirt but neither was difficult or tiring to walk. The track seems okay.

This is also called Yongchu Fall. I came to the center called Yongchu. They say it looks like two dragons are flying up into the air so I wonder what it's like.

That is the Yongchu falls that looks like a heart shape if you see it from far. Can you see the falls drop down to the middle of the heart shape?

Two streams falling together make the fall look amazingly unique.

When I zoom it a little, it looks like this. Strangely enough, it has a heart shape and a hole inside where the falls drop down.

It was really really beautiful. I doubt there is another place like this.

Where the falls drop, there is a deep puddle that looks like at least 3 meters deep. The water is deep and the current is not fast that makes me want to float in the water with a swimming tube.

For those who might lose their footing and fall into water, there is a swimming tube. It is quite dangerous so you should not step on slippery spot if you can't swim.

Yongchu falls of Yongchu Valley! If this is not heaven on earth, I don't know what it is. It's a really beautiful place.

I don't see anyone yet but I could see that the place would be crowded with people in summer.

From the top of the hill, the heart-shaped fall looks likes this. There was a shallow puddle in the middle and Yongchu Falls turns into a water slide for kids in summer. Of course you can go in the water and swim. How do you like it?

The scenery you get from the course No. 2 is beautiful, isn't it? This area where there are Daeyasan trekking courses is famous for its pretty trails in all four seasons and there is no doubt the summer would be the best time to enjoy it but it is very good trail for trekking in spring. I strongly recommend that you should visit here.
