It is the place that marks victory at the Siege of Haengju, which was one of the three big sieges during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. If you climb up to the top of the mountain along Haengjusanseong Fortress that is made from soil around the entire Deogyangsan Mountain, you will see the monument commemorating the victory of the battle. There is an octagonal pavilion below the monument, which reveals a wonderful view of the Hangang River. Below the mountain, there is also a park to take a walk near the Hangang River.
