Lafesta
Lafesta is Korea’s first street shopping mall. It is an open shopping mall connecting 6 buildings that are lined up on both sides of the street with bridges over your head, and it is also known as the ‘Myeongdong of Ilsan’. It also has the distinction of being recognized as Korea’s first international shopping mall when it was designated as an excellent shopping mall by the world’s biggest shopping-related organization – ICSC. Lafesta is also attracting many foreign tourists since it is frequently used as a filming location for dramas. 3.5 million visitors come to Lafesta a year, with the daily average number of visitors at 70,000. The pedestrian walkway is 300m long and has a maximum width of 28m. Designed as a cultural street from the initial planning stage, Lafesta is also well known for hosting various cultural events year-round.
