Soesokkak Estuary, which is the entry of Jeju ole six course, is located near river mouth of Hyodoncheon that flows between Hahyo-dong, Seogwipo-si and Harye-ri, Namwon-eup. The water originated from Hallasan mountain permeated basalt ground, and made long and deep puddle between two of cliffs in “Soeso”. “Soesokkak Estuary” is where the water runs to the sea.
The word “Soe” was originated from the topography of Hahyo-dong, which looks like lying bull. A trail, which is made of lumber in western cliff, is a perfect place to enjoy landscape.

It became a popular tourist attraction after TV drama “Chuno” had been broadcast. So you should reserve tickets in order to ride kayak by lining up at dawn. Reservation starts from 9 AM, but many people wait from 5 AM. I came at 9:30 AM, so all tickets had been sold out that day. I just look around Soesokkak Estuary along trail.

Water bike is less popular than kayak, but it is hard to ride without prior reservation.

Cheonhyeyang ice cream of Soesokkak Estuary
Cheonhyeyang ice cream cost 5,000 won. I couldn't taste Cheonhyeyang as it is, but light scarlet was beautiful. And I was pleased with that I can only taste this in Soesokkak Estuary. If you want to enjoy flesh and fragrance of Cheonhyeyang, you should drink Cheonhyeyang juice for 3,000 won.

I often visit Daepo Dongsan sushi restaurant whenever I go to Jungmun Tourist Complex. It is located in Daepo port, and built one more annex recently. It serves many seefood and side dishes. Sawedged perch costs 230,000 won, 150,000 won and 130,000 won for Rock Bream and yellow porgy respectively.

This was so-called Seukidasi, served with sashimi. It was various from abalone, sliced raw mackerel to sliced raw cutlassfish.

Yellow porgy, which was the main dish, was chewy and exclusive.

One of the reasons that I visit Daepo Dongsan sushi restaurant is to eat butter fried rice with internal organs of abalone, served with fish stew. Smell of abalone mixes well with that of butter, making perfect harmony with fish stew.
Pool cabana of Hyatt hotel
Pool cabana is a shade canopy set in outdoor pool of hotel. You may think that it is expensive as it costs 77,000 won for three hours. But I was very satisfied with it because it offered shade from hot sun, three cold beers or orangeade and fruits. I ordered potato and chicken (21,000 won) for lunch. The cost is almost the same with that of pubs outside hotel, and the food cooked by first-class chef was amazing.

This is a pool watching from pool cabana. It is good to read books and enjoy hotel facilities.
