After opening “Suncheonman Bay International Garden Exhibition” in 2013, Suncheon-si created “Suncheonman Bay National Park” with Suncheonman bay, Dongcheon gil and Dulle-gil,Bonghwasan mountain. It is No.1 garden of Korea. It is so large that it is called the garden rather than city. You can enjoy beautiful garden all the year around. It is No.1 national park designated by the Korean government. Now, here we go!

The entrances of Suncheonman bay national park are two; the east gate in Pungdeok-dong and the west gate in Ocheon-dong. Two ways are connected each other in the inside of the garden, so you can choose a parking place whereever you want.

I entered the west gate because the parking lot in the east gate was full even in the morning. You can see Suncheonman bay WWT wetland at first in the west gate. Since there is a Sukeureong habitat, you can feel the taste of fall. This is not a foxtail. It is “Sukeureong”, which is larger and more furry than a foxtail.

Suncheon Bay International Wetland Center is situated on the backside of WWT wetland. It exhibits ecological resources including animals and plants living in the water. I thought they were all sculptures on the water, but all of them were alive. They were so colorful.

Suncheon Bay International Wetland Center has “the small zoo”, which is so popular with children as it houses cute animals like fennec foxes, meerkats, etc. You can feed them at 1,000 won. Isn't a fennec fox so cute? Meerkats looking out are cute, too.

You can communicate with animals by feeding them. Each animal wants different food, so you should select the food. I wanted to buy one, but nothing was left. Only limited quantities are sold since they don't eat away everything.

You may think of flowers in spring, and fallen leaves in fall. But the fall of Suncheonman bay national park is more beautiful than spring. I hope to move all of them to my garden.

You may hot due to strong sunlight while walking around the large garden. But you don't need to worry about it because there are clean fountains everywhere. It is a good idea. You can cool off nearby the fountains.

“The garden of Korea” is located in the very inside of the west gate. Traditional garden of Korea has been restored. It is a beautiful garden with various characteristics of Buyongji of Changdeokgung Palace, Buyongjeong Pavilion and Huwon Garden of Gyotaejeon, Gyeongbokgung Palace. Old people were more technical than modern people, I think. They might also have strongcraftsmanship.

The pond looks more colorful with various carps. You can feed them here, too. All carps gather one place if you feed them. It is a great experience to adults, too.

After getting out of the garden of Korea, I met Metasequoia Road. Brown fallen leaves and green glass made me feel even more comfortable.

A lot of beautiful flowers blossom on the street everywhere. I see Sarubia after a long time. I stop and taste a flower petal. It was so sweet when I was a child, but it isn't now. Maybe that is because there was nothing sweet except sugar at that time.

You can see almost every flower of fall here. I think it would be good educational materials since I can some flowers for the first time in my life. Wow! I want to roll over the flower bed.

This is dahlia, which is beautiful and mysterious flower. It might be shown on TV commercials thanks to its vivid color. It was so amazing for me that I am going to plant it in my garden next year.

“Ecogio” is the greenhouse where you can look around plants without hot sunlight of fall.

There are a lot of tropical plants in the greenhouse as if it was a jungle. They are so exotic.

The pond is attractive, too.

This is Anjellonia, the vivid pink flower. My wife took a number of pictures of herself in front of Anjellonia. :-) Suncheonman bay national park is the best place for women who love flowers.

Sky cube platform is located next to Ecogio greenhouse. It is the world first transportation asan eco-friendly computer controlled platform connecting Suncheonman bay national park and Suncheonman nature ecology park. You can look around the places with your car. But if you purchase total admission ticket, you can come and go with sky cube conveniently. You should refer to the below of the passage if you want to know about extra fee.

This is “the bridge of dream”, which was often shown on TV to promote Suncheonman bay international garden exhibition in 2013. It connects the east gate and the west gate. You must pass the bridge to look around every place of the garden.

The pictures drawn by 140,000 children of 16 countries around the world are exhibited in the bridge of dream. You may not notice them, but they would make you smile. Why don't you look around for a while?

While the artworks of children are exhibited on the inside wall, those of the painter Gangikjjung are exhibited on the outside wall. He wrote the pleasant lines on mosaic tiles, which are well matched with colorful flowers.

After crossing the bridge of dream, you can see the east gate. Since Suncheonman bay national park is huge, you would be totally exhausted. So there are a lot of rest areas like cafeterias and restaurants everywhere. I will take a break while drinking coffee under a parasol.

There is the world garden in the east gate participated by 11 countries including China and France. Chinese garden is similar to Korean one, but it has other characteristics. If you go further, you can look around every garden all around the world. I personally recommend “Wolwhawon” of Chinese garden in Hyowon park, Ingye-dong, Suwon-si.

This is the French garden that looks like the Versailles palace. That is a coffee shop that looks like a palace. It would be good to have a cup of coffee while overlooking the French garden.

If it is hard to walk around the huge garden, you'd better use a Ferris wheel inside. It costs 3,000 won for adults and 2,000 won for children. You can look around various gardens conveniently while sitting on the vehicle.

This is the “lake garden”, which was shown on the media as often as “the bridge of dream”. The world's reknown designer “Charles jengseu” designed the garden after inspired by the geography of Suncheon-si.

It is so huge, extraordinary and beautiful place that you cannot take a picture of it at once. BBC, the British broadcasting corporation, highly praised it. What a beautiful curve!

Endless autumn flowers have been exhibited in front of the lake garden, too. It is a heaven of flowers. I think it is the most largest flower garden in Suncheonman bay national park. So many tourists take a picture, and rest here. I also take a picture of myself with beautiful flowers.

I looked around Suncheonman bay national park for two hours, but I couldn't see everything. I want to visit here in other seasons because it would be amazing all over the year. Why don't you visit Suncheonman bay national park before winter?
