There is a unique sign that you can see whenever you go through the side of Lotte World. It's a sign with a picture of a man wearing a gat(Korean traditional hat made of bamboo and horsehair). The funny thing is that the man's clothes are shirts and tie. Once you see it, you can't forget it. This is the sign of Omori(earthen pot) Jjigae(stew) I am visiting today.

It's omori jjigae restaurant, but the catchy thing is the suta(handmade) jjajangmyeon. It's not a machine-made noodle, but a person makes it by touching it. In old Chinese restaurants, noodles were made like this. The machine is so popular now, but there's something called taste from hand, which leads to the name of suta jjajangmyeon. Even if it's not a Chinese restaurant, the most famous things in this restaurant is the scene of making noodles.

This restaurant consists of 1F and 2F, and you can only eat the handmade jjajangmyeon on the 1st floor. I think it's for the convenience of customers who just eat jjajangmyeon. The price is very low.

The first thing that stands out when I went up to the 2nd floor is this rice cookers. Dozens of them are constantly cooking rice with chugging sound.

I can see the exposed kitchen. They were busy even if it wasn't mealtime because it was weekend. In fact, I was able to take a seat after waiting for about 15 minutes.

The price range on the menu is very nice, right? I think many people would say the price is the charm of this restaurant. All menus are not exceeding 10,000 won. I ordered omori jjigae, suta jjajangmyeon, and charcoal bulgogi, the best menu.

This is the picture that I mentioned about. That shirt and a gat, it has a intensity that cannot be forgotten.
Omori jjigae is cooked with ripened kimchi which they have a patent and a utility model for it and with only domestic ingredients.

I didn't really want to eat suta jjajangmyeon, but I felt like I should order it when I saw them making the noodle on the first floor. It's just an old jjajangmyeon style. Old jjajangmyeon is characterized by thick starch, thick potatoes, and onions. It's shame that it's not chewy as I expected.

Charcoal bulgogi isn't bad for the price. It has proper scent of fire and it's perfect to put rice in and wrap it with lettuce. The amount is also generous.
