This time in Incheon, we stayed at Orakai Songdo Park Hotel. Orakai sounds like Japanese but it is a Gyeongsangdo dialect meaning “come over here!” The reason we chose this hotel was because of the great view from the room. You can get the whole view of Songdo Central Park on one side and the other side, you’ll get to see front sea of Incheon so which room you’re assigned to, you’ll be satisfied. Plus, we can take a walk along Songdo Central Park waterway that is 1.8km long. Let’s see how it looks like.

Hotel looks like this outside. The structure curves a little so you can enjoy different scenery in each room so while the frontal rooms are facing the downtown and central park, you’ll get the whole view of central park in the rooms of curved parts in the middle. And we stayed on the 18th floor on the right part facing the front.

This hotel is a 20-story building but hotel rooms are upto 18th floor and there is a restaurant from the 19th floor. This restaurant was on where Song Il-gook took his triplets to have a meal and got free meals for babies because baby can eat for free.

There’s a pretty tree in the lobby for upcoming Christmas. I could see many foreign tourists on the day I was there and they were all busy taking pictures. ^^*

I went up to the room. This room is Superior Double Room. And all the rooms from 15th to 18th floors are Superior Rooms. The room in general was fancy in achromatic mono tone so it’s neat and warm. I like it.

These days, I can easily find hotels with no baths but this one has a bath and a bidet. Generally neat.

Shampoo with nice scent, conditioner and shower gel was in clean cases.

Other amenities were packed in pretty cases in the room. The unique thing about this hotel compared to others is that it had a bottle of moist lotion with great scent and regular tooth brush and toothpaste, not the disposable ones. Normally other hotels would charge us this kind of toothbrush but this was all free here at Orakai Hotel. I didn’t take mine so I used it and tried to pay it when I checked out but the employee nicely said that it’s free. ^^*

Two bottles of water were provided for free.

Ah~ nice, different teas and brewed coffee tea bags were offered. I am a big coffee lover so I sometimes rank hotel based on coffee quality and this hotel satisfied me with jardin coffee. Taking a look around the central park while drinking coffee was just AMAZING.

Just like any other hotel, it had a safe, iron and bath gown. Uniquely they had a scale as well. Do they want us to check our weight every night to know how much we ate during the day? I tried it and I gained 500 g after our visit to China Town today!

This is the bed. There’s a small table/desk and a TV with a bunch of channels. And you can unpack your bag on the left. Sometimes that space is missed so we have to unpack on the floor.

As a double room, there’s a big bed in the middle. The bed was properly comfy and thick so I could rest my back very well. Soft pillow and thick blanket were clean that they didn’t smell of anything, just clean. Some hotels have smelly pillow or blanket but this hotel was so…neat.

Yahoo~ I opened the curtain and look at the night view. I love this view! It’s hard to have a nice view at a hotel. I guess this is the first time in Korea after we had this view in Hong Kong.

I could get a whole view over Songdo Central Park to the left. That apartment over there is where Song Il-gook and his triplets babies live. I came to Incheon to get this scenery a few years back but it has more buildings that made it much beautiful scenery.

Wow~ amazing night view. The high building in front was newly built a few months ago called North-East Asia Trade Tower that has three basement levels and 68 stories above the ground which is 305m high, the highest building in Korea and 73th highest building in the world. I heard that the observatory on the 65th floor is going to be open next year.

Most of hotel rooms were just resting and relaxing our bodies from traveling but the night view with a cup of coffee at Orakai Hotel was another fun that I hadn’t had anywhere else. If there was a hill or other building in front, it would’ve been a disaster but thanks to this great view, it was cheap at the price.

Naturally I turn the TV on right after I take a shower in any hotel room but in this hotel room, I was sitting at the tea table while watching outside and from time to time checking my phone and talking with my wife, I felt like I was in the sky lounge café. FYI, you’ll get a full signal with wifi.

If your notebook does not support wifi, you can use LAN line here. You’ll have to pay for the internet in other countries most of the time but in Korea, internet is available for free almost all the time. Whether you are in a café or restaurant, it’s more difficult to find a place that does not offer wifi or cable internet. Especially I never saw a place that charges you for internet. Korea is indeed an eminent country in IT industry.

The sun rose the next day. How about waking up early and taking a walk in Songdo Central Park? This is the west end of the park so it’s 1.8km long to the east end and two-way would be 3.6km long, which would take an hour. It’s a great idea to sleep in downtown of Incheon but I say spending the night somewhere like this and taking a look around on water taxi at central park would be another good idea. I say this hotel was a very good choice!
