I am going to visit a beach at this time. I used public transportaion during the trip to Jinhae(Changwon). Changwon-si has a good public transportation system as it is a big city. But it is a little bit inconvenient to use a bus. I had to transfer to other buses so many times, and had to wait a bus for over 30 minutes. But there is a good point. You can appreciate street scenery, and look around many places.

You must go inside along the cherry blossom road to go to the marine park. I am happy to take these pictures while riding a bus. Now, I am going to go to marine solar tower of Jinhae marine park.

There is a tiny island named “Dong island” on the left of the road to the marine park. Local people call it “Poop island” as it looks like a poop. But you would see Moses' Miracle of Jinhae”. The trail around the island is made of a deck. It is small, but pretty.

You can see Eumjigyo bridge and Eumjido island 100 meters from Dong island. The marine park has a tower that looks like Batman. The name of the island is originally Woo Eumjido island, but a wrong name has been passed down. Integrated Changwon-si made the center of marine tourism and naval city.

After passing by Eumjigyo bridge, you would see “Gangwon battleship” on the left side of the marine park. It was built in New York dockyard in 1944. It was operated in Korean war. It was allowed to look around it on the ship, but now it is prohibited for the safety reasons. I am sorry for that.

You can look around a landing vehicle and a lifeboat in front of the battleship. You can see various experience facility related to the world's naval battle history. Moreover, you can watch fisheries ecology learning center, marine living things theme park and marine solar park. Today, I will look around marine solar park. You should pay the admission fee separately. It would take a long time to look around every parts, so you'd better choose among them.

That is the marine solar tower. Like its name, it is the best and the largest solar energy generation facility in Korea. This 136 meters tower is the sailing ship-shaped. 2,000 solarwalls have been installed in the southern outer wall and the exhibitioh halls. So they can produce 600 kw solar energy per an hour. About 200 families can use the energy.

There are exhibition halls under the tower. You can learn the energy producing process ways without fossil fuels in Eco-friendly green energy exhibition hall. You can also see various modules related to sunlight generation. It is so interesting.

This is robot temporary experience center. You can operate various industrial robots. The robot fishes of the four rivers are exhibited here. You can actually touch them.

There is an animation gallery for children. The animation with funny voice is being shown. Children would love it.

You can find an observatory after reaching 120 meters point. People are crowded only in the place. There is a hole in the floor! It is 120 meters high, though.

Wow, the floor is made of glass. I was so afraid of stepping on it. Other men were pretending not to be afraid, but all of them were stepping on the edge of the glass. Haha.

The scenery of the southern sea was amazing. The window glass had the color. That long island is “Woodo island”. You can go to the island by crossing the pedestrian bridge. It takes about 30 minutes to look around the island. I wanted to live there.

The southern sea has a number of islands. That long island is “Socoori island” with the clean water and low water level. About 300 people visit there in summer due to the sandy beach in the middle of the island. You can go there by a ship. The island is equipped with a drinking fountain, a shower room, a restroom, electricity and water facility. The sea route is open in ebb tide. So you can enjoy various things in summer vacation. It is good.

I could see Eumjigyo bridge and STX dockyard. You would see the bus stops with STX signboards while you go to the road. I didn't know that at first, but coastal waters of Jinhae is so beautiful. Everything looks pretty on the top. :-)

You'd better take a rest for a while in a cafe. You can appreciate beautiful scenery while having a cup of tea. It is cool in summer with an air conditioner.

It is not crowded with people in Jinhae marine park even during the naval port festival. It is good to enjoy travel. Fishing boats come and go in the small fishing village. Children can enjoy various sea events, and appreciate the southern sea at the high solar tower observatory. I strongly recommend you during the trip to Jinhae.
