This coffee shop was originally a shoe factory.
Now it has lost it's original purpose and it's been reborn as a communication space.

If you look at the building located between the alleys, you might wonder who would think of it as a coffee shop, but turning a closed factory into a coffee shop is now a trend and this was the beginning.

It's amazing inside. There are many coffee shops with industrial interior these days, but I think they have a clear philosophy to try this style for the first time.
The table that the register is on has wheels, so it looks like they have modified form of a transportation used in the old factory.
Besides, there are multiple LCD displays on the wall, what an impressive mismatch.

The menu is also unusual. Single Origin is normal because it's just a coffee bean's name, but the house blend names are unique.
I'm not sure but there is something related to literature.

After ordering coffee, I sat down and looked around. There are not only the mismatch between recycled waste and the latest espresso machines, but also a huge mismatch between the overall interior here and the guests and staff in this space.
A cup of coffee at a place like this would double the loneliness.

There's some separated space, and It's probably a different working space in the old shoe factory.
On one side of the wall, there is a quote from 'Air and Dreams', a book by Gaston Bachelard(also a house blend coffee's name following his name).

My order is Natsume Sōseki.
It's medium roasted Guatemalan plus Colombian plus Ethiopian blend.
At the first sip, I thought that true coffee lovers made it. The sour taste is excellent.

Next to the exit, there are coffee beans on sale. There is the picture of anthracite, which is also the name of this coffee shop.
It's open everyday without a break.
Located in a quiet alley, five minutes of walk from exit 4 of Sangsu station.
