Japanese Food Asosan
Asosan is a famous restaurant in Ilsan with authentic Japanese food led by the head chef Im Seong-jung who has worked in Hamada Sushi in Tokyo.
With the motto of ‘ingredients and cuisines in season’, which is the fundamental idea of Japanese food, the restaurant focuses on constantly developing new menus and maximizing the natural taste of ingredients.
Asosan has 17 individual rooms to respect the privacy of its diners, and the Japanese-style garden seen from the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor creates a peaceful mood while dining.
Moreover, starting with the SBS drama ‘Lovers in Paris’ in 2002, this restaurant has been used as a filming location for over 150 Korean films and dramas including recent dramas like ‘Kill Me, Heal Me’ and ‘Angry Mom.’
The outdoor artificial garden outside the windows of the rooms add a classic mood to the restaurant.
The lunch course at Asosan is offered at the reasonable price of 33,000 KRW, serving salad with black sesame seed dressing and three kinds of ascidians like sea mustard. The set with abalone, shrimp, sea cucumber and natto is accompanied by 4 kinds of sushi such as sliced raw fish, squid, shrimp and egg.
All meals are nicely presented on beautiful dishes and bowls. The cold udon noodles here are popular for being homemade. There are two choices for dessert: black coffee or yogurt ice cream.
