My friend joined us for lunch and told us that this restaurant is famous for Sanchae bibimbab and Deodeok set in Danyang.

We ordered three Dedeokmuk set. The sets were served quickly compared to Jangdari restaurant yesterday.

Normally, they tap Deodeok when they cook Deodeokgu-i, but this one was not tapped. It was good to chew.

This is acorn jelly-muk-bab which is the best seller during summer. The acorn jelly with cold and iced soup is really good and if you put rice in it, it's good like Naengmyen.
We stopped talking after all foods were served. For 20 minutes, we ate all of them and bought ice cream for dessert. And we happily went to Ondal tourist spot.

At the entrance, there is a big parking lot with Hyangto agricultural store. This parking lot has a parking fee of 2,000won, but it wasn't operating at this time so I was able to park for free.

This is a square in front of the parking lot. There is a Ondal model in the middle and Hyangto restaurants on the right and left sides. Luckily, there is a convenient store here so you can buy something you need aside from souvenirs.
Ondal, who appears in the story of Pyenggang princessand Babo Ondal, was a real person who was a son-in-law of King Pyeongwon in Goguryeo. He died while fighting in Danyang when Silla invaded Goguryeo. InOndal tourist spot with Ondal fortress being the center, you can see lots of tourist spots at once.

In the inner part of film set, they displayed restored props used in the dramas. Those props that stand with three-leg are glasses for alcohol. It looks very luxurious.

There were various things displayed like weapons, armor, pottery, writing brush, palanquin, and etc. But the lights were not good so it was a bit dark. Nevertheless, there were lots of things to see even though it was just a film set. However, there was no explanation at all.

In the middle, there is imperial palace! It's the biggest and most fancy building here. But this is not our Goguryeo's imperial palace. It's restored small imperial palace of Chinese Sui and Tang era.

There is a place where they rent dresses and take a picture. It costs 5,000won.

On the right and left side of emperor's chair, they displayed dresses and armor and showed us a video related to it.

I think I fit more in criminal experience rather than emperor's chair. At the backyard of imperial palace, there is a torture experience. But be careful because that cross wood is really hot during sunny days.

It's a pillar supporting imperial palace. They really engraved a log wonderfully. Usually, when I visit a film set, those pillars are made up of plastics or rubber, but this one is made up of a real log.

There is a house for nobles and aristocrats at the back of imperial palace. It's designed with beautiful curtains which looks like my house.

After the noble house, you can see marketplace. Strangely, the direction of tour is not straight, rather it's pointed to go to the right.

Well, the marketplace was the last of the film set. Ondal fortress is located at the back of Jeojak street. The taxi driver we met before told us that if we go up here, it's too inclined so it's better to go up at the opposite side. But we could not find the entrance of the opposite side.

If you go up here, the round trip of Ondal fortress takes one hour. I think this palace of Goguryeo is the southernmost because most of Goguryeo is located in North Korea or China.

This is the view from the mountain. It's 5-10m high and 685m in width. But just like any other Korean fortress, it does not look like well preserved fortress from the past, rather it looks like contemporarily restored fortress.

When you look back from the entrance of Ondal fortress, you can see the entrance of Ondal cave. There is Ondal cave under the mountain and Ondal fortress on top of mountain.

It's good to go to cave when it's hot!! From the entrance, you can feel the cold wind. This cave is formed 400 million years ago and it's a natural limestone cave where Ondal trained. Thus, it's not named just because it's Ondal tourist spot, but rather it was related to Ondal.

Unusually, you have to wear this safety helmet here. If you don't wear this, you might get embarrassed by the announcement. The ceiling is low compared to other caves and there are some spots where you have to bend your body so the safety helmet is needed. Therefore, if you're pregnant, it's better not to go inside the cave.

You have to adjust the helmet to your head properly. It might be very painful if it's too small for your head.

To compare Ondal cave and Gosu cave, I think Ondal cave is more convenient while Kosu cave has more things to see.

When you go out of the cave, you can see Namhan river on the left and Goguryeo Boksikgwan and square.

Tourists were playing Tuho at the square. There were ssireum(Korean wrestiling) ring and swing, but there was no person enjoying them because it was too hot. Maybe many people use them during festival.

I got a stamp at Ondal-gwan and started to look around. They show us a video of Ondal and Pyenggang story and display pictures of tourist spots around. Sadly, only few documents were there about Ondal and Pyenggang.

It's Ondal's statue beside Ondal-gwan. From 1996, they open Ondal cultural festival with many events and cultural programs to celebrate Ondal every middle of October.
