There is Meta-Province in Damyang, which reminds of a small European village. Special food court was open in last July. Other shops like hotels, restaurants and experience centers have been being built. It is adjacent to Metasequoia road in Hakdong-ri, Damyang-eup. So it is easy to find. It is close to Nokjjugwon, too. It is the best place to enjoy delicious foods and take a beautiful picture. Now, here we go!

Most buildings are under construction, but some buildings are open now. Each building has a different theme. It is fun to look around buildings and take a picture of them. According to Korean architecture law, buildings must be built for one meter gap at least. It looks like an European village as they are so closely spaced.

Province bakery is famous for “Pope bread”. It was named after Pope Francis ate “Kissring garlic bread” during his trip to Korea. I have never eaten it, but it looks like a big and round donut. Usaully it is crowded with people, but it is quiet today.

This is “Old Jinmi noodle”, the famous noodle restaurant in Damyang. The head shop is located in noodle street next to Nokjjugwon. You must wait for a long time in a row to eat noodles. I visited “Damyang noodle restaurant” recommended by a local.

Some people don't understand why foreign style buildings become tourist attractions in Korea. But it would be boring if all tourist attractions are hanok(Korean-style house). I think it is good for those who want to enjoy foreign style tourist attraction.

This is “small gallery” on the street. The shop owner is an artist who do African art and pottery handicraft. I think it is the most beautiful place in the alley. You can seat on sofa and table in front of the store, so take a picture as much as you want. :-)

A tent produced by Volkswagen is unfolded in front of Churros store. It was popular in Korea after being aired on MBC TV program, “Infinite Challenge”. It is so expensive, so I gave up!

It looks like an alley of Europe, isn't it? Not only buildings and props, the ground is made of arch-stone. So it looks like a place in front of shabby hotel of the alley in province of France. It is so pretty.

Wow! This is “Bubu Sweet Rice Doughnut” restaurant. Many people are waiting in a row. I ate the donut before the restaurant was open. I remember the owner of the restaurant sold donut in his truck before Meta-province was created. I talked to him while eating donut. It was not so popular at that time. I am glad that the business is going well.

I returned to the street at night after checking in hotel. And it looks totally different! Pretty lighting hanging on the buildings makes my heart flutter. But most stores are closed after 8 p.m. in Damyang. Most restaurants are closed, too. You must visit in early evening if you want to see night view and enjoy delicious food.

It looks like a star festival. It is the best place for couples to take beautiful pictures, eat delicious foods and hang around. You might bring selfie stick, I guess!

Damyang has green bamboo forest all through the year, and distinctive scenery at each season. So it has been always crowded with many tourists for a couple of years. Moreover, new Meta-province has been developed on a large scale. I think even more people will visit the place. It is the best place to take a picture, and enjoy delicious food. So don't miss it during the trip to Damyang. It is amazing.
