Revival of Baekje's history 백제역사재현단지

After watching Korean traditional music concert, I went to Baekje cultural land at the opposite side of the hall.

Lotte resorts is located in this area; hence, it's convenient for tourists. There is a waterpark inside the resort. Moreover, they give some discount on the tickets of Baekje cultural land.

There is a big outlets. It was under construction when we went there. It's going to open in late September.

In Baekje cultural land, there are two main points. First one is Baekje historical museum where you can experience and watch videos while the other one is revival area where you can see legacies are restored upon historical research and evidence.

I just took a picture of Baeje historical museum. I don't know why I didn't go inside. I just remembered that I didn't go in when I went back to the pension. That remained as a mystery of my trip.

Anyway, you can see Jeongyang door first when you enter the revival complex. If you pass this door, you can see Sabi palace in front, living culture town and Wiryeseong on the left, and Neungsa and Gobun park on the right.

There are three routes in the map. First one takes 1 hour, on the other hand, the third route takes 3 hours.

If you pass by the main entrance of Sabi palace, Cheonjeongmun, you can see Cheonjeongjeon. This is a building for events like national events and welcoming ambassadors.

There are a king's chair with fancy silk and clothes of kings and nobles. Inside of other building, they made a meeting area with 100% wood chairs. I think they only had short meeting back then because I don't think people can sit for long on those chairs.

When papers were not yet developed or were rare, they used wooden tablets to record history of kings. Surprisingly, the record of King Muryeng was the most popular one. (Well, maybe Gongju is near to Buyeo.)

I went to the palace's temple, Neungsa, which was built to pray for the souls of King Seong. Neungsa includes the high tower and is built in Garamyangsik architecture.

Neungsa plays the role of actual temple and has a statue just like any other temple. There was a play performance in Neungsa and lots of people watched it. Aside from this play, there are more events here at different times.

At the back of Neungsa, there was Baekje noble's Gobungun. It was too sunny and there was no shaded areas so not many people went here.

Go down from Gobungun and go up to the small hill. When you reach "Chehyangru," you can see Sabi palace although trees were too high that it hid palace.

When you completely claim the hill on the opposite side, you can see Wiryeseong, the first capital of Baekje.

There are many dugout huts in Wiryeseong.

You can go inside of a dugout hut.

At the very west of Wiryeseong, there is Wiryemun.

You can see the living culture town with a collection of Baekje noble houses at the lower part of Wiryeseong.

Each house has famous person of Baekje and displayed suitable items for him/her. This is Chehyangru which I saw from far.

You have to be ready with your health because you have to tour around this area which is 3,276,000㎡. I rested at the bamboo forest located at the end of living culture town.
