A local bakery became a large bakery cafe! Brand New Himont

Old bakeries have similar names. Maybe it's for some sort of Western style luxurious and image. Richemont, Napoleon, etc. In Seongnae-dong, there was a bakery called 'Himont' that had a similar feeling. I'd like to introduce this bakery cafe which was upgraded to Brand New Himont, although it wasn't bad during the Café de Himont days.

As you can see on the sign, it started in 1979. It's been around for over 40 years. Recently it built a private building and became a professional bakery cafe.

As you enter, you will find a stylish counter and delicious bread on display.

I'll try the most popular 3 menu here. The best is custard roll, the second is raspberry baguettes, and the third is ang-butter. Ang-butter is divided into two types:soft bread and pretzel bread.

On the first floor, there are display stands and counter. And on the second floor, you can have your seat, bring your bread, and return from here.

There are outdoor seats as well. Even though there are not many seats, many people are already having fun.

Coffee goes well with bread. Actually, I can't say coffee here is good enough, but it's just normal.

This is ang-butter. It's became a popular menu all over the country, and now it's a bread that you can find in any bakery. The combination of butter, read bean paste, and soft bread does not fail to satisfy us. Perhaps that's why I didn't feel anything special about this place from it. It tastes just as I expected.

This is custard roll. Cool and rich custard cream and bread melt gently in my mouth. It's a bread that you can enjoy more deliciously when you eat it cool enough to feel like ice cream. It's a taste that anyone can enjoy.


I think raspberry baguette is the bread that represents the uniqueness of Himont. I haven't taken a picture of its cross section, but there's raspberry cream in between the crispy baguette, and it's very attractive with its freshness. This will be perfect for dessert and breakfast. If you visit Himont, I strongly recommend Raspberry Baguette.
