I said I would experience a lot during this Chungju travel. After looking around Mireukdaewon stone temple site, I made cookies at blueberry farm. Haetsal blueberry farm raises blueberry, where you can harvest, and make some cookies or muffins. Since it is August, harvest period is over. So you can make cookies or muffins until next June. I chose cookie between two of them. Now, here we go!

It is located in Tappyeong-ri, Gageum-myeon, Chungju-si. It is next to the Jungangtap park, and is close to Tamgeumho lake. So you can visit there after looking around those places. The store on the second floor is today's destination.

Two puppies greeted me at the entrance. There was a house for them, but they liked human so much. Puppies in countryside seemed to follow people well. They looked so happy.

There was a large blueberry farm in the backside of the building. But blueberries had been harvested a few days ago. Blueberry flowers blossom in April and May, and its fruits are harvested in June and August. I was a little disappointed. But I am okay as I can make cookies. :-)

I found a small one-storied house in the backside of the building. This place were used both for experience center and cafeteria which sold coffee and juice. The landlady would give some blueberry cookies if you buy coffee for 2,000 won.

I didn't know what this certificate meant exactly. The place was certificated by Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Rural Development Administration. It received credit for its
agritourism.

When entering the entrance, a lot of activities were prepared. These were ingredients for cookie. The cost varies from the amount, from 5,000 won to 10,000 won per an individual. If you pay 10,000, you would make a large amount of cookies.

Cookies might be made of these ingredients. Since I was layperson for cooking, I didn't know about it at all. These are butter, peanut butter, brown sugar and raw sugar. Of course, you should mix the ingredients with eggs, blueberry and flour later.

After listening the brief introduction and explanation by the landlady, I started to make cookies. It was pouring all that day, but some people participated the activity. They brought their child. The kid so liked the activity that the parents looked happy. I laughed as they giggled. :-)

I had touched puppies before, so I cleaned my hands. At first, you should sieve the flour. I asked to my wife the reason why we should sieve the flour. And she said that it mix well with other ingredients, and the air can go into the flour evenly. We need to know that!
After adding an egg to the ingredients, you should stir them well. Since some butter was contained, I could mix them easily.
Then you should put flour and blueberry, and stir to make dough. Since it is not a bread, you don't need to make sticky dough. You should stir them as you do when eating bibimbap.
