What do you think is the most popular store around schools in Korea? I think bunsikjip(snack bar) should be at least in the top three. Instant tteokbokki is a popular menu that we can enjoy the spicy and sweet sauce with various kinds of noodle, and it's at relatively low price.

Today I went to Eunhye Instant Tteokbokki, which reminds me of the snack bar in my school days.

This snack bar is near by Children's Grand Park. At first glance, it's a place with quite a lot of history. I guess the guests who went to this place when it first appeared was at least 40 years old.

It's on the 2nd floor on a little bit gloomy stair. Even the pictures at the entrance cause nostalgia.

The tables and chairs also feel like they are at a filming site. It reminds me the TV series 'Reply 1997'.

I can feel the emotions of the 80s, so the word Wi-Fi feels disparate.

Restaurants these days offer custom-made aprons, and there are many random aprons here. This roughness makes me smile.

Can you see the price? I think this price is the 'Eunhye(grace)' of this Eunhye Instant Tteokbokki. Haha. These days, it's at least 7,000 won to 8,000 won for a lunch outside. The set menu for 2 people is 12,000 won here, which is pretty attractive.

It's a simple basic table setting. Wow, that spoon and fork is retro style with no refinement at all.

Here's instant tteokbokki. The default set seems en enough, but I added dumplings that I really like. The characteristic of Eunhye Instant Tteokbokki is that it's not the regular tteokbokki with red chilly pepper sauce but a jjajang tteokbokki with black bean sauce.

When it's boiling, my heart's seething as well.

The black bean sauce and cabbage together gives subtle sweetness and it makes me keep wanting to eat it. It's not the sweetness of sugar, but the sweetness from the nectar of vegetables, so it doesn't make me thirsty. If you're familiar with tteokbokki with sweet starch syrup or sugar rich taste, you might think it's too mild.

They sure know the true taste of tteokbokki, because they added boiled eggs as default configuration.

Fired rice completes these kind of hot pot dishes. It has a slightly smoky flavor like stir-fried jjajangmyeon. It isn't a common instant tteokbokki, but it is jjajang tteokbokki which you can remind old memories.
