Is there any special tourist spot in Korea in cold winter? Busan? Jeju Island? But it is the best to take a bath in warm water. Even small sauna place is so crowded with many people in winter. Winter is the peak season for hot springs. Paradise Spa Dogo in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do is close to metropolitan area. There are the Onyang springs with 1300 years history. It was popular place for destination of honeymoon in 1970s and 1980s. Many Kings of Joseon like Sejong and Yeongjo visited here for a trip of recreation. In TV drama “Dae Jang Geum”, King visited here to cure his skin disease. Now, here we go!

Paradise Spa Dogo charges higher fee during peak season from 19th December to 28th February next year. Even so, it was crowded with many people in daytime of weekday.

You can use sauna after entering the spa. I have no pictures of it as I have to take my cloth to enter it. There are hot spirng bath and outdoor Hannoki bath. If you wonder about men's bath(or women's bath), you must visit sauna. Men's bath and women's bath are changed everyday! :-) Anyways, I couldn't take many pictures since I have to take my cloth to enter. I will show you some pictures from a far distance, instead. This is indoor pool. It's like a heaven in winter.

I took some pictures for those who want to use Paradise Spa Dogo! You can borrow water play equipments. You don't need to take on swimming cap inside. There is no signpost.

You can take advantage of doctor fish at the corner of indoor pool. But I couldn't use the service, as I am ticklish. Many doctor fishes are attached to the leg of a child. There must be something to eat. It costs 5,000 won for adults, 3,000 won for children for 15 minutes. You can use the service more if there is no awaiter.

There is a massage place at inside pool, and amethyst dry sauna on the right side. I couldn't endure the hot degree inside. Haha. Anyways, it is fun to enjoy each courses.

There is a restaurant on the first floor. It sells hotdog and coffee. There was a strongroom in front of the restaurant so I could keep my camera. It was nice!

Hot water flows in lazy river of inside pool. Even though the surrounding is covered with snow, you can see the hot steam. It's great.

It was 13 degrees below zero when I visited the spa. So it is hot inside the water, but chilly outside. It is so interesting.

There are hot spring and Charcoal Sauna outside. People move fast to prevent cold weather. :-)

I wonder how the water keeps 40 degrees in the outdoor. It is 10 degrees lower than the temperature inside. Enjoying hot spring with snow scenery is amazing.

Paradise Spa Dogo does not lend tube for free. You should prepare it, or rent it if you need. Air pump is equipped, though.

Play facilities for children are equipped outside. But they all play in indoor or swim with their fathers due to the cold weather.

I personally like event spa hot spring the most. It is divided to four sections; berb bath, fruit bath, flower bath and Chinese medicine bath. They have different effect and fragrance. I love the fresh fruit bath the most.

Korea Tourism Organization selected five hot springs in Korea in 2012, and Paradise Spa Dogo is one of them. It is alkalescent and has a lot of sulfur ingredient, so it is effective to skin disease and skin care. You will have smooth skin after you take a bath in the sauna.
It is the fare during the peak season in winter. Those who lodge at caravan can use spa for free. You can get a discount when you buy a ticket on site. But you can get more discounts when you buy a ticket on the Internet.
