For the second lunch during Chungju travel, I decided to eat boiled duck with scorched rice. There are few pictures since I got hooked on the food and forgot to take a picture. After eating duck meat all, crust of overcooked rice is served in meat broth. But I don't have the picture, too. I noticed that after coming back to my house. Haha. I forgot my duty to take a picture. The food was really delicious.

It was located in near the entrance of Jungangtap park. If you find bird's wings sculpture, there it is. Here we go.

There was a swallow's nest inside the restaurant. Baby sparrow had been hatched. Life is so wonderful. Every animal bears sons and grandsons. Both human and animal pursue the same happiness.

This is the menu. I ordered boiled duck with scorched rice. It cost 45,000 won. It is large enough for four people.

You should place an advance order as boiled duck with rice must be cooked in high pressure rice making pot for a long time. Thanks to diligent companies, I was served the food as soon as arrived. Meat broth was wonderful, as it had been cooked with duck and various medicinal herbs.

Duck meat was so soft because it had been cooked for a long period. The soup was wonderful with the taste of oriental medicine and crust of overcooked rice. Duck fat is good for health. It was not greasy, but light.

White kimchi was well matched with delicious duck meat. It was crunch and stimulated my appetite. Side dishes were not distinctive, but tasted great.

Pickled garlic was crunch and well pickled. I put a piece of pickled garlic on a spoon of crust of overcooked rice. It was awesome.

It was so hot to eat duck soup in hot summer. But radish water kimchi cooled down the heat of my head. Side dish was so wonderful. It helped duck meat taste better.

Even though I was full, I decided to eat delicious leg meat. You should fight fire with fire. I felt energetic with boiled duck with rice cooked with oriental medicine!



I often eat boiled duck with rice in the place where I live. Gansune in Chungju Jungangtap pagoda was amazing. I always take a picture before have a meal. But I eat away at this time. It seemed to be popular with residents. I recommend you eat it when traveling Chungju.
