There is Daeungbojeon Hall on the plumber block on the backside of Daegwangbojeon Hall. There are four famous Lespedeza bicolor pillars inside. The legend says you can be close to the heaven if you turn while embracing the pillar. Some people say the king of the underworld would ask you the question, “How many times have you turned Lespedeza bicolor in Magoksa temple?” Others say you can give birth to a son after turning Lespedeza bicolor pillar. There is a signboard saying “you should turn back before going to Daeungbojeon Hall. It means nobody can enter the private place of monks, I guess. Isn't it more polite than “Go back” or “Private”?
