There is a distinctive rural village in Jinhae. It is Sosa village which is a typical farming village. You can find a place like a filming site in the 1960s. Major tourist spots are Kim Dal-jin literary house and his birthplace, Kim family museum and Kim family workshop. The owner of the museum will tell you funny stories. Okay, here we go!

It is a bit far from the downtown. So it would be hard to find the village if you don't come by car. I will tell you the way to go. You should ride No. 305 intra-city bus if you come from Jinhae Joongang market. Or, take off at “Woongdong” if you come from Jinhae station or Gyeonghwa Station. You will find “Uichang Soohyeop branch” on the cross of Woongdong. And you will see “Kim Dal-jin literary house” at the corner of the alley. Sosa village is 700 meters far from this road.

I didn't know that it was the right place. There was no signpost. But I thought I found the right place when I felt the old atmosphere. One senior citizen told me it is Sosa village. I was lucky.

There were a few people. Some old ladies asked me for the reason to come to the village. They smiled as I answered them, “I just want to take beautiful pictures of Sosa village”. I felt like a cat asked me, too.

I visited Kim Dal-jin literary house at first. He was a teacher, a poet and a monk. He established a literary house in Jinhae. He helds “Kim Dal-jin literary festival” every autumn to commemorate his passion to literature and Buddhism. It is good to look around.

There are cottages right across the literary house. The poet Kim Dal-jin was born here in 1907. Rape blossoms on the backside of the yard were well matched with the cottages. The circulation of the nature is always mysterious.

It looked like the 1960s. I felt the old atmosphere from “Artist Photo Studio” and “Busan Radio”. The word “Since 1930” was written on the store. There were the old pictures, cameras and old radios in the display case. Who made this alley? And why? It is not a tourist spot supported by Changwon-si Jinhae-gu. There was neither admission fee nor parking fee.

I thought I could look around the “Kim family museum”. There were old pictures and props in the yard. I felt like I was on the time machine. Rural alley was so realistic.

A number of antiques were exhibited in the house. It was like the Seoul Folk Flea Market. I wondered who had gathered those things.

There was a small house named “Kim Family workshop” on the opposite side of the museum. The man who is sitting in front of the store is the owner. I am going to drink a cup of coffee.

He was so curious. I talked about the stories of journey and movie with him. He said he was given these buildings and the land by his father. He built the museum in order to remember his family, and let people enter inside.

The cafe tables were funny. Some dolls were put inside. I thought the owner is not an amateur based on the shape of the museum and alley. He told me that he was the planner of the movie “TaeGukGi: Brotherhood of War”. He is also a consultant of Jinhae. He is a real expert.

It was nice to have americano beside the long window. That cottage is the birthplace of the poet Kim Dal-jin.

The front yard of Kim Family workshop also looked like a filming site. I couldn't leave the village. I missed the train as I talked to the owner of “Kim Family workshop”, in fact. So I returned to my home riding Late-night Bus.

The road to Changwon Station was full of cherry blossoms as it was the naval port festival period. Sosa village doesn't have many famous tourist spots, in fact. But I recommend it if you like old atmosphere, and funny story of the owner of “Kim Family workshop”.
