I have enjoyed having a meal at transport cafes since decade years ago. It looks common restaurant in the alley at national highway, but I have never seen not delicious one so far. Maybe it is because drivers who can go anywhere to eat food by their cars never visit terrible restaurant. During the trip to Goheung, I found Dongbang transport cafe by chance. Now, here we go!

It really looks like a transport cafe. In my opinion, these simple restaurants are more delicious than luxury ones.

The menu is only one. “The meal with a bowl of rice(barbequed beef)” costs 7,000 won. I ordered meals for two people.

Wow! I see barbequed pork on foil after a long time. It is well seasoned with fresh vegetables. I hope it to be delicious.

The taste is not so special, but it is fresh. Doenjang stew(bean paste stew) with manila clams is amazing.

A long mackerel pike has been also served. You can chew it without having to remove bone if you have no problem with teeth. Old people once ate the whole fish except big one, but it is rare these days. I think teeth of the future people would be degenerated as they do not chew hard foods.

Soy Sauce Marinated Crabs were made of small crabs. It is also an old food that people chewed. It is delicious, too. It is aromatic as chewing it.

This is real food of Jeolla-do. Seasoned Skate has been also served. But it isn't stink as it has not been fermented for a long time. It may be seasoned stingray. Anyways, chewing taste is the best. These side dishes are rare in common restaurants.

pork is being done. I think this would be the most delicious side
dish. According to the menu, pork costs 5,000 won and rice and side
dishes cost 2,000 won. Haha.

Sliced barbequed pork. This is the best. Meat is usually delicious, but it is better if you put it on lettuce with ssamjang and garlic. I think I can fill my stomach only with meat instead of rice.

Doenjang stew(bean paste stew) was so amazing as it has been made of blue crabs. Although it is only 7,000 won, it is worth the price. The restaurant was crowded with many taxi drivers. I believe that they all had a nice meal, since I did, too. Why don't you visit a transport cafe instead of searching for must-go restaurants? You can enjoy sumptuous feast at reasonable price.
