Noeul-gil, the fifth course of Taean coast roads
Many people go travel to take a walk. There are Olle trail in Jeju, Dulle-gil trail in Bukhansan, woodland path in Jirisan and coast road in Taean. You can appreciate beautiful landscape and littoral ecosystem along the rias coast. It is a long coast road of 100 kilometers.
The first course: Barigil, 12km from Hagampo to Sinduri
The second course: Sowon-gil, 22km from Sinduri to Manlipo Port
The third course: Padogil, 13km from Manlipo Port to Pado-ri
The fourth course: Solmoratgil, 13km from mongsanpo to Deureuniang
The fifth course: Noeul-gil, 12km from Sandy beach port to Kkotji beach
The sixth course: Saetbyeol-gil, 14km from Kkotji beach to Baramarae
The seventh course: Baramgil, 15km from Baramarae to Yeongmokang
Each course is attractive. Cheonsa-gil, the eighth course, is not included in formal courses. But it is only 1004 meter, so it is easy walking path for disableds, the old and the infirm, children and pregnant women.

I am going to walk Noeul-gil, the fifth course, which is the most popular road.
Sandy beach road-> Sambong beach-> Gijipo-> Anmyeon-> Duyeo beach-> Duegi-> Bangpoang-> Kkotji beach
It is total 12 kilometers, and it takes three hours and 40 minutes. In particular, when you walk the road in sunset, you can see wonderful coast road.

If you start from Sambong beach, you will see wonderful pine forest at first. The pine growing on the beach is called “antipathes japonica(Haesong).” I visited there on Monday morning, so I could not see even one person. Peaceful Noeul-gil is so attractive. I recommend it to those who don't like climbling Bukhansan. :-)

Coast roads are various. You can walk on deck, sand dune and dirth path. While you walk toward the beach, you can enter the pine forest.

I encountered a cute lizard(takydromus wolteri in official name). Some lizards inhabit around beach dune, so you can often see them. Since they don't run away, you can easily catch them. They are so cute, but don't bite you!

I am going to take a break on the bench. But someone put a pile of cone on the bench. Do you know that is the seed of pine tree? Wherever you throw it away, it easily sprouts. It is amazing! But it grows too slowly.

There is quite a long pine woodland path. Most sections are separated into several roads. As you see the picture above, deck has been created along the seashore on the right. Sometimes, there are paved road and sandy road together. It is both for disableds and non-disableds.

Hydrangea is falling off as summer goes and autumn comes. Its red color is pretty. It might really beautiful road in summer, isn't it?

I have walked a lot of roads during many trips, but I have never seen the road that is well matched with sea landscape. I can appreciate the sea all through the 12 km road. When I am fed up with deck trail, I can walk along the sea with seagulls. It is really wonderful experience.

The pine tree forest that I walked looks like that. Pine tree forest spreads out from the beginning to the end of the seashore. I am sorry that I cannot take a whole picture.

This is Sambong beach. It was named as “Sambong” because three peaks stick out toward the sea. Some places and objects have their distinct features in their names. “Red oreum” and “Black sand beach”. Aren't they so lovely?

Someone seemed to confess his or her love on the beach. There are heart shaped shells. It is ashamed, but takes effect in the beach. I lied my wife that I had made it for her. She really loved it. Haha. But she would kill me if she knows the fact. :-)

The sand of the beach in Noeul-gil is so fine that I cannot grasp it with my hand. It falls through my fingers.

If you come to the sea, you must pick up a shell, right? There were a lot of shells on the sand beach, so I took a big top shell. It was so pretty that I put it in “Taeangwan”, the decoration cabinet in my house. :-)

How is it? Don't you want to take a walk? Noeul-gil, the fifth course, is a flatland without uphill and downhill roads. So it is easy to walk. And many parts have been made of deck, or paved that it is convenient to use wheelchairs or strollers.

If you arrive at Kkotji beach in sunset, you can see wonderful landscape through Halmibawi and Harabibawi rocks. The sunset of Kkotji beach looks different according to the tides and the seasons. And it is always touching. If you are going to walk coast road in Anmyeondo island, you must visit Noeul-gil. You will understand why it is so popular with many people. I strongly recommend it.
