I always wait for meal times during the trip. I visited Ssambap restaurant to eat a lot as I was so exhausted after walking “Culture street” for a long time. It is located nearby Sunchon National University, and it is popular with the local people. After waiting opening, I entered the restaurant for the first time.

I visited there at 10:30 a.m. and some customers followed me. They said, “Choose anything. All foods are delicious here!”. So I eagerly looked forward to have a meal.

Let's see the menu. I wanted to eat everything, but I had to order a meal for over two people. I ordered stir-fried small octopus ssambap for two people. It costs 10,000 won per one person. Rice is included in every menus.

It is a sumptuous feast with various side dishes and stir-fried small octopus. I heard that all side dishes of Jeolla-do are delicious, so my mouth is watered. :-)

People usually have a tea with bread for breakfast during the trip, but it seems that I ordered too much. It is large amount of food. Maybe it is because I am the first customer that day. Anyways, red color of food stimulates my appetite always!

I made ssambap before eating rice. Fresh foods are always delicious, definitely. Even though it is red, it is not too hot. It would be okay to eat webfoot octopus with garlic from the morning.

Leaf Mustard Kimchi is always served at Jeolla-do restaurant. I like it because it is crunch and delicious. People of other regions rarely eat leaf mustard kimchi, so it is a good idea to have it in Jeolla-do.

Anyways, this is the most delicious side dish in Yangji Ssambap restaurant. How should I call it? Seasoned chili? Or seasoned chili soybean paste? Chili covered with sweet soybean paste is awesome. So I ordered twice.

Hot stir-fried small octopus and white rice. What a nice combination! You may not be full only with a bowl of rice. You can eat away two bowls of rice with side dishes even in the morning.

It is also nice to put only rice and ssamjang on vegetables. Some people may not like it, but I am. Haha. I ordered a bowl of rice again to eat away vegetables. I should eat mackerel ssambap next time. That would be nice, too!
