They are three arched stone bridges under the bank. The stone bridges consist of three arches. The middle arch is big and the south and north arches are a little bit small. The key stone, the top of the middle arch, is protruded outside the guardrail of the bridge. The head of a tiger is engraved. The arch stone on the rectangular stone is partially destroyed. The head of a dragon is engraved on the northern arch. The guardrail stone seems to be engraved flower patterns, but they have been worn out. The southern arch doesn't have a pattern. 35×150cm rectangular stone has been built between the arches. The rectangular stone is protruded over the guardrail on the upper bridge. The boundary stones are set on the sidewalk. [Naver encyclopedia] Ganggyeong Minae Bridges(everywhere in Korea, Korea Tourism Organization)

Some people say “Minae” was named after the stream. Other people say it was named after Minae, the monk who supervised the bridges. The story about the bridge construction has been passed down on Enjin Migyo gravestone. According to it, Song Man-woon and other people built the bridges in 1728. He is unknown person, but he would be a rich man in Ganggyeong market. Based on the direction, the bridges would be used nearby Ganggyeong stream and its water way. Locals would need a permanent bridge since it was an important road from Seoul to Jeolla-do, and it was not safe in the rainy season or snowy season. After the bridge was constructed, people played Dapgyo in the 15th day of the New Year according to the lunar calendar. Many people would cross the bridges from Joseon dynasty period to Japanese colonial era. But now it is hard to see them as they are surrounded with high embankments. So few people could say that they saw Ganggyeong Minae Bridges. [Naver encyclopedia] Ganggyeong Minae Bridges

800 meters left. I had a long way to go. Even worse, I couldn't drive my car anymore. It was under construction. But I couldn't see any workers.

I could see Minae Bridges from a distance. They have not been built right over the river. It is interesting. Anyways, I kept going.

Minae Bridges, the sky and green grass were so exotic. I felt like I were in Greek mythology.

I want to see beautiful morning scenery before the sunrise.
