Places where new relationships are made, Saeyeongyo and Sae Island
Those who tour around Jeju must have been to Cheonjiyeon waterfalls at least once. This place we are going today is a place is near Cheonjiyeon waterfalls, on the road led to the waterfalls, if you turn right and cross the Saeyeongyo bridge Sae Island comes out.
Saeyeongyo bridge means abridge which makes new relationships, and Sae Island is not a place where many birds live, it is named as Sae Island because the ingredients for sae(band) grows a lot.
Saeyeongyo comes to your sight when you walk around the building, from the parking lot. Since the sunset view from here is very pretty, watching the sunset here after a long day of travelling is also a good idea.
The sun is now starting to set. I traveled busily to introduce as many places I can to you, but I feel a bit of pity that our trip is ending up,
I want to hold onto the sun~
Watching the view upon Saeyeongyo reveals Sae Island's long appearance.
As I closely examined, the island is a rock island, not a soil island. The island was impressing, looking long like a crocodile's head.
As it is a rock island, the rain water couldn't go out and was made into a natural pond on the island. It was a interesting place, the first time for me to see. A strange feeling like I'm in a place of the universe. I bet anyone who actually sees here will all agree.
Now let's go into the island.
The trail had wooden deck, in sure for the tourists to walk easily.
The sea and the island floating on the sea, with the pond on the island was astonishingly beautiful. It was a very beautiful landscape.
Other tourists who came were all busy taking pictures of the setting sun. I think I received the most photo favors among these people hehe.
The water filled in this island is rain water. Just like the water filled in Chunji, Mt. Baekdu, it was a impressive view. I'm sad that I can't express all the feelings I felt when I saw the sunset with my eyes.
Beyond this planet looking island, the island which is in the distance away~ is 'Beom Island'. Beom island is a superb ecosystem area, designated by the UNESCO, having the largest Soft coral colonies and subtropical marine creatures. If I have, I will show you that island's view next time.
Can you see that grass growing at the brushwood of the road? That's the material for the straps that were used when building thatched houses. Those grass are the reason why this island's name is 'Sae(string) island'.
The island at the right side of the lighthouse is 'Brushwood Island', and is also a UNESCO designated island, with outstanding local ecosystems as well as Beom island. I'll also show that island along with Beom island.
Sae island is composed of rock, with this structure, the island must have towerd from the earth, right? Because there is legend that this island is made when Mt. Halla exploded, flown from the volcano's crater. Believe it or not. Well, I haven't seen it so I can't reject it... ^^ *
For those who visit Cheonjiyeon waterfalls, or those who are afraid of the long long night can visit Saeyeongyo bridge and make a new relationship, and I hope that love will be come true at Sae island. It takes about 20 minutes, since the length of the island is a little over 1km, I think that is enough to make a new love and relationship! You know we say that 5 minutes is enough to make somebody love me. Everybody is like that, right? ^^ *

The latest trend among tourists, Jeju Aqua Planet 제주아쿠아플
The beautiful natural scenery is not that moving or exciting for young children group, as much as it is to adult travelers. So I'll introduce 'Aqua Planet', which you can have an interesting experience when traveling with kids.
It is called as a place for the children, but it is the biggest Premium Ocean Theme Park which reproduces the underwater environment properly, not just imitating it. So everyone, from kid to senior citizens can have a fun and special experience at Aqua Planet.
Facing the Seongsan Sunrise Peak nearby, Aqua Planet is located at the entrance of the Seopjikoji and the scenery around it is also beautiful. As it is the most huge Aquarium in Asia, the appearance gives me anticipation.
These guys riding through the entrance of the Aqua Planet are remarkable! I thought they looked more like a circus performance but they were mounted police officers who are responsible for policing. The police of Jeju are also representing Jeju.
You can enter after purchasing a bracelet ticket at the ticket window in the left side.
This is the Central Court(Central Square) which you encounter as soon as you enter the entrance. It's not all in the picture, but the Seongsan Ilchulbong is clearly seen through the big window and huge ray sculptures have been installed closely, making us open our mouths.
Once you enter the Aqua Planet, check the program schedule first. We can enjoy the fishes with just our bare eyes but you should not miss the various performances of marine animals, which is a great fun.
We headed to the basement floor's Ocean Arena(venue) to join the most popular presentation 'Conditions of Marine Animals'.
There is a food court area in the basement floor 1 of the Aqua Planet and you can drink tea with meal there. They serve any kinds of food including Korean and Western style food categories and various fast food. Also, the space is large enough for a great number of people to eat. Above all, we can dine in the large open area while enjoying Seongsan Ilchulbong's view.
If we come more inside through the food court, we can see Ocean Arena(venue).
Four Russian beauties, who were once members of the national team do synchronize performances for 20 minutes.
They say it's the first and only synchronize performance in the country. Performances were too beautiful to tell it's a sports. They showed such a beautiful synchronize performance, telling an interesting sea nymph story.
Brat Seal Show is followed by synchronizing show. The seal shaking it's tail and clapping its hands were so cute!
It plays with audience and make them laugh well by ring tossing. The nickname punk kid suits the seal very well.
Followed by the seal performance is the dolphin show, which was the most impressive and fun performance. This is a moment when the dolphin c믇 to the front of the audience, giving greeting beeps.
An aquarist also participate in this show along with dolphins. This is a moment when the aquarist was riding a dolphin and swam around the pool, with such power and speed. It was great but also risky to watch.
I thought that the aquarist and the dolphin's bond and trust was tight, while training a long time together. The movement of their bond was a true beauty.
Dolphins are known as clever animals, and I agreed to it as I watched the dolphin following to every directions of the aquarist's hands.
Later, there was a big show of 4 dolphins performing altogether with 4 aquarists. I was surprise every moment of the dolphins jumping from here and there, and I clapped and laughed, busy watching them.
Because of the performance time, I had went to Ocean Arena in B1 first, so I went up again to the 2nd floor's Central Court (Central Square) and into the aquarium.
The place that comes first into sight is the world's island's underwater view, including the mun island of Jeju. Variegated colors, shape and size~ You can take a look of the sea creatures from other countries.
After the 'Islands of the World' is the 'House of Penguins'. The penguins are smaller than I thought and hard to find, but they are very cute and adorable. It's the 'Islands of the World', but instead of the penguins which were far away, there was a elegant bird, which I do not know the name.
This is a place where we go down from the 2nd floor, while taking a look. This is the true seal, on the first floor's entrance. When you place your hands on the glass window and move it, it follows it, and when you play longer, it stares into your eyes.
When I encountered the big and clear eyes of the seal, instead of being frightened I rather received a strange emotion that the true seal was talking to me in the eye.
When you go through this aquarium, stroke the windows gently with the palm of your hand and play with the seals. It will be a great experience communicating with the sea animals.
Here is the Aqua Safari on the first floor. It is very humid and hot from the entrance, representing Amazon's jungle and underwater.
Yohot~ it's the wonderful aquarium tunnel that I only watched on TV. With the sharks, there are small fishes swimming around in a shiny silvery herd, that I don't know whether they are sardine fish or others.
A 1 meter long fish slowly followed my wife's hands, thinking that it was a sign of feeding.
Beyond the sea tunnel, the famous enormous aquarium is finally visible. The name is 'Ocean of Jeju', made to reproduce Jeju's ocean, after actual research.
Fortunately, it was feeding time for the stingrays, so two aquarists were in the aquarium. Like fluttering like a bird, the appearance of the stingrays swimming along the aquarists was truly a great spectacle.
I've only have seen stingrays that are just black with no patterns, but there were spotted, leopard, etc patterns. The diverse and colorful look, even enormous size shows me that stringrays are the most beautiful heroine in 'Ocean of Jeju' aquarium.
After the feeding time, it was time for a Jeju women diver's demonstrations of diving. A diver who is over 70 years old, and also currently in practise jumps into the aquarium and demonstrates. She is an elite diver of Jeju, selected after a fierce competition. She is really, great, despite of her age.

Where can we sight this elsewhere The Aqua Planet of Jeju. It's hard to leave behind the diverse and fascinating scenery of Jeju's underwater. When you go around the aquarium, you can watch the aquarium with an icecream.
When you leave behind the 'Ocean of Jeju' and come out, the first thing you face is the sea lion. When you place your palm at the window, the sea lion opens it's mouth, thinking that it's food. That look was really funny and cute.
The sea lion might be frightened, so please do not throw big things or try to tackle. Please move slowly with the palm of your hand or with a small thing across the window.
After that, there are walrus, several kinds of large sea animals such as big dolphins.
After sightseeing them, you can come out of the aquarium through the souvenir shop.
Please visit the Marine Science across the aquarium, if you have extra time. Marine Science is a place where they had wrote a description of a model on the seabed terrain and undersea creatures for easy understanding. there are no sea creatures to watch, but it is a short course and it's good for children's education.
On the way out of Jeju Aqua Planet, my wife said that her heart beats. It's not a place that you can simply view a variety of sea creatures in the aquarium, but a place that you can communicate with the creatures like seals, sea lions into the eyes. And also you can put your hands into the ocean water at the touch pool, and above all we were impressed of the greatness of 'Ocean of Jeju'. It was a great experience. The place where actor Lee Byeongheon had ate all three meals for three times, Octopus Ramen Restaurant 'Gyeong Mi's House' 경미네집
Near Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, there is a famous ramen restaurant where actor Lee Byeongheon had came and ate several times in a day, when he stayed in Jeju for the shooting of drama 'All In'. Previously referred as 'Gyeong Mi Rest Area', these days it's name is 'Gyeong Mi's House'. 'Gyeong Mi's House' is a legend of seafood ramen, because it was famous from 10 years ago, even then seafood ramen wasn't a trend in Jeju.
Located at the entrance of Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, you should pay attention os else it may be just skipped past because it is outdated compared to it's fame.
Because it is a famous restaurant in front of famous attraction Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, it is crowded with guests even though it's not meal time.
The first menu board of 'Gyeong Mi's House'. There are also a variety of seafood, and the octopus ramen that Mr. Lee Byeongheon had ate all three meals for three times when shooting SBS drama 'All In', it's name is changed into 'Seafood Ramen'.
The second menu board. The meal menus that can be eaten with rice. We ordered one seafood ramen(5000 won), which every table was eating, and one sea urchin rice (10,000 won).
When we were waiting for the food, one woman diver had brought seafood, that came right from the sea.
I guess 'Gyeong Mi's House' uses fresh seafood which are directly brought from the sea, collected by the women divers.
The first to come was urchin rice. Sea urchin rice/sea urchin bibimpap is sold in many of Jeju's restaurants. Other restaurants sell sea urchin rice with the price of 13,000 won, with little amount of sea urchins and many of vegetable.
The amount of sea urchin eggs is same with other restaurant's 2 people serving. There are sea urchin eggs with a generous amount, seaweed flakes, sesame oil on the sea urchin, and the taste of the sea urchin rice was savory. You can certainly taste the sea urchin, it's really awesome!
Even though you mix it with anyway and scoop a spoon, there's lots of savory sea urchin mixed in with a good taste.
The seafood ramen came out second. It's just normal ramen boiled with seafood.
The tourists who visited the restaurant had left their memories here and there, with interesting phrases. Because Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone is famous site for foreigners, there are also many greetings from foreigners too.
I came here to try seafood ramen, but the sea urchin rice was very good, to taste the real taste of sea urchin! This was 'Gyeong Mi's House'
