The Little Prince said, “What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well."There is an oasis in the desert and in Gapyeong, there is Petite France. On the winding mountain road along the national highway, suddenly beautiful place like the oasis showed up. Petite France nurtures the dream of children and love of grown-ups. It is the only one French theme park in Korea where you can enjoy a variety of European cultures, performances and experiences. One of the most famous princes in the world, 'Little Prince' seemed welcome us. I felt as though I were in the fairy tales.
This place has already been well known, but it is especially spotlighted in recent days because it is a filming site of many TV dramas;
First floor of the building are mostly used as theater, exhibition hall, and shops. There are guest houses above the second floor. I checked on the web site that most of rooms are big that can accommodate 4 to 10 people. You should book a guest house early for Friday and Saturday. Prices vary from 80000 won to 200000 won.

This place seems that I have already seen before! Yes yes, it's the place that Do Min-joon made Cheon Song-yi float in the air and drew her to his chest with a lighting magic show around the buildings. Every evening at 7: 10 pm, all the light bulbs are turned off at once and the drama is played for 10 minutes. Then, the bulbs are turned on in turn as Do Min-joon did in the drama. I received a guide map at the entrance of the Petite France, but I didn't have enough time to read it. Wherever I went, I was satisfied. This is a flea market of the center of the village. It's an antique museum that was created looking like one of top 3 flea markets, 'Saint-Ouen Flea Market'. When you go inside the building after enjoying the antiques outside, you will find 300 pieces of European vintage dolls and tools. It must make you feel you are traveling abroad.

There are interesting dolls and works in the museum. Four fat sisters look impressive. Even the hair style is the same. ^^*
Many works and antiques from France and everywhere in Europe were exhibited. A few of them had price tags. Probably they were on sale.
France's animal symbol is the 'Coq(Chicken)'. This is a 'Chicken group' that many different kinds of chickens gathered with interesting faces and poses. Are their name Sophia, Olivia, Grace, Elisabeth, and Matilda? ^^*
There is a sculpture of Eiffel Tower in front of the Petit Event Hall where music concerts take place. It becomes more beautiful at night with shiny lights. There is a poster of the film

This room is reconstructed by following traditional farmhouses in central France during the 19th century. Inside the room, I could smell old woods that made me catch a glimpse of the structure of French house and culture of food, clothing, and household. All the furniture in the room are 18th century's old ones. These exhibits got appraised by French experts.
The Marionette Exhibition Hall had various unique marionettes. Marionettes looked scary because they appears in many horror movies, but it was impressive to see their interesting faces. Marionette puppet shows take place here and there in the Petite France. It was held at the Outdoor Theater, Marionette Theater, and House of European Dolls. Places and schedules of the shows keep changing.
It looks so beautiful even to me, then how beautiful would be to women? I went up the hill and it was so sweet to look down the village.
From place to place on the road, there are 3D pictures that lead you to go into fairy tales with children. On the top of exhibition hall, there is a Love's Bell(Petite Cloche). It is said that you will gain your love, if you ring this bell. Whoever has power to step up the stairs can ring the bell. If you visit here with your girl/boy friend or partner, you should not miss it.
If you step up through narrow stairs beside the European dollhouse from the outdoor theater, you will meet a water fountain square. Around the square, there are souvenir shops, stores to buy coffee and snacks, and guest houses upstairs.
There is a memorial hall of Saint-Exupery at water fountain square. If you are a fan of 'Little Prince' which is the everlasting masterpiece in my heart, you should not miss it. In Korea, this memorial hall is the only one that is in alliance with the foundation of Saint-Exupery. Many pictures and works of Saint-Exupery, as well as the characters of Little Prince are displayed inside the hall, so it would be good to look around at least once.
