Jinju-si is located in the middle west of Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea. It is connected with Tongyeong Daejeon expressway and Namhae expressway. Famous tourist attractions are Jinjuseong Fortress, Chokseongnu Pavilion and Jinyangho Lake. It has national universities like Gyeongsang National University and Jinju National University of Education. In compliance with the innovation city business, housing management industrial complex, Korea Land and Housing Corporation and Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Industrial Complex will be moved to Chungmu gongdong(Geumsan-myeon, Munsan-eup and some area of Hotan-dong). Jinjuseong Fortress
It is the historic site and tourist attraction of Jinju. It is famous for one of the three major great victories during Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. The general Kim si-min defeated 20,000 Japanese enemies only with 3,800 soldiers. It is the best place to take a rest and enjoy excursion since it has various attractions and well-organized castle.

Chokseongnu Pavilion
It
was selected to one of three pavilions in Korea along with Yeongnamnu
pavilion in Miryang and Buryeongnu pavilion in Pyongyang. It was the
headquarter for general to command officers and men during wartime.
It was also the place for classical scholars to enjoy beautiful
Namgang river during peacetime. It was burned out during Korean war,
but restored in 1960.

Jinyangho Lake
Jinyangho Lake, which was created at the meeting point of Gyeonghogang river and Deokcheongang river, is a beautiful artificial lake. Wonderful natural scenery, wet fog in the morning and splendid sunset attract attention of a lot of tourists. It is the most famous rest area in the western Gyeongsangnam-do, being crowded with many people. In particular, cherry blossoms are amazing in spring.
