When you come down Dongpirang village, Jungang market is located. On the way to Jungang market are many shops, but the most many ones are the honey bread bakeries. The place looks like a honey bread war place, everywhere full of honey bread bakeries, with various names. Among those, there are some places selling Carp bread or soft ice-creams.

As it is located at the sea, and as a place of anchovies, there are many dried-fish shops. I guess the anchovies sold here are reliable.

This is the famous the Turtle Ship honey bread. I asked, and the owner honestly answered that the red beans are not domestic. But the sweet potatoes and chestnuts are all domestic. All of the people were proud of their honey bread, so they didn’t give any try outs to us, different from other shops. They are saying to buy it if you trust it. I was going to buy several boxes, but bought only one box. Later when I ate to compare the taste, the most delicious ones were the Yi Sun-Shin honey bread and the Turtle Ship honey bread.

The place we chose for our dinner is Haewon restaurant, chosen after a long time of consideration. This place had many famous people as visitors, including Lee Myung-Bak previous president. And the advertising phrase saying they have won the 1st place of a festival held among the seafood restaurants the region attracted us.

The Middle size Assorted Sliced Raw Fish’s price is 100,000 won, and it’s famous for the various and plentiful side-dishes coming out with it.

We checked there are various side-dishes, but felt a bit disappointed. I thought it would be better to make the food with sincere, rather than concentrating on the number of them. While feeling disappointed, the last food Spicy Fish Stew had come out. The Spicy Fish Stew has been boiled in the kitchen and came out, and the taste was astonishingly wonderful. I thought at least the Spicy Fish Stew has the best taste to compare from other restaurants.

The view of Tongyeong’s ocean. We watched this from our room in Marina resort at night. A big boat was standing still and the silent sea surface was reflecting the boat’s lights.
